01. How do we book you for the wedding?
Booking my services is a straightforward process. To secure your wedding date, I require a 30% deposit along with a signed contract. This ensures that your date is reserved exclusively for you. You can reach out to me via email or phone, and I'll be happy to send over the contract and payment details. Once everything is set, we can start planning how to capture those beautiful moments that will make your dreams come true. Looking forward to celebrating with you!
02. Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes! I love to travel anywhere that your story takes us.
Treehouse Studios is based in Michigan, with a focus on Northern Michigan weddings. No travel fees apply for Michigan wedding days. If your venue is outside of these areas, a travel fee may apply, but please don't hesitate to reach out. If your wedding day location is on my bucket list, all travel fees are waived. Regardless of location, I’m excited to capture your story!
03. How do you handle family photos on the wedding day?
I’ve developed an organized system that ensures everything goes smoothly.
It all starts well before the big day. About a month prior, I send out a detailed questionnaire where we collaboratively create a thoughtful list of all the family combinations you’d like to capture. This proactive approach helps us avoid any last-minute stress and ensures that we don't miss any important shots.
On the wedding day, my process is both friendly and efficiently managed. I provide clear direction, striking the perfect balance between being assertive and approachable, which helps everyone feel comfortable. My goal is to make the session enjoyable, so that we can capture beautiful portraits swiftly and seamlessly. This way, you and your loved ones can spend more time celebrating together.
04. Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes, I absolutely offer engagement sessions! In fact, most of my wedding day packages include a complimentary engagement session. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to break the ice and get to know each other better before your big day.
During this session, you'll have the chance to get comfortable in front of the camera and become familiar with my shooting style. It's also a fantastic time to create some fun and cherished memories during this exciting chapter of your lives together. Plus, it allows me to truly understand your unique relationship, so I can capture both of you authentically and beautifully on your wedding day.
05. Do you offer professional albums and wall art?
We've got you covered in every detail for your printing needs. Offering the highest quality Custom Prints, Artwork, and Heirloom-Quality Albums, our professional printing options include wood, metal, and acrylic wall art. Create a custom design that captures your memories in a luxurious heirloom album from the convenience of your gallery print shop. We're confident that you'll find the perfect printing option to display your memories in a beautiful way.
06. How will you protect my investment?
At Treehouse Studios, we understand that your wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event that cannot be reproduced. We take pride in our work and want to ensure that your investment is well protected. We do this in several ways. Firstly, we back up your images twice as we photograph your wedding, making sure that your precious memories are safe. We are also backing up your images to our computer, an external hard drive and a cloud hosting. This ensures that even if one of these backups fails, there is always a backup available.
Secondly, once your images have been edited, we back them up again on our own external hard drive, in addition to providing unlimited hosting of your wedding gallery online. This means that you can access your images at any time, and they are always safe and secure.
We also take the necessary steps to protect you by creating a custom contract that is written to protect both parties and outline all expectations. We carry proper insurance and run a legal business, giving you peace of mind that you are working with a professional and reputable photographer.
At Treehouse Studios, we understand that your wedding day is special and that your memories are priceless. That's why we take every step possible to ensure that your investment is well protected, so you can relax and enjoy your day knowing that your memories are in safe hands.
07. When will we get our photos?
You'll receive a sneak peek of your photos within 48 hours after your event. The complete online gallery link with all your photos will be delivered within 6-8 weeks (contracts call for 12 weeks in case of an emergency, but we always aim to deliver as quickly as possible). You'll have the option to download high-resolution digital copies, share on social media, create a favorites list, and order prints directly from your gallery. We take great pride in our work, so each photo undergoes careful editing in our signature true-to-life finish, as well as a black and white copy for a classic touch.
